Des Moines Home

We were honored when a client asked us to design a dining room table and bench for their new home in Des Moines. Our client was looking for a table with a “country chic” aesthetic, yet wanted the pieces to feel clean and sleek. To achieve their vision, we designed a dining table and a dining bench made from reclaimed Douglas Fir barnwood.  To give the piece a sleek look, we sanded the barnwood to be very smooth and utilized minimalistic lines. To give the pieces character, we alternated the grain directions of the barnwood planks and custom stained them to resemble a dark, rustic oak color. To bring these pieces to life, we partnered with a local Wisconsin woodworker. We are thrilled with the outcome!
